Talking Medicines Hires Strassberg as First US Employee
Glasgow, Scotland-based pharma sector social media intelligence company Talking Medicines has hired Mike Strassberg as its first US-based employee, based in New York. In his role as Chief Customer Officer, Strassberg is tasked with driving the firm's continued growth in the US.
Talking Medicines offers AI-driven patient social media intelligence specifically for the pharmaceutical industry. In 2020, the firm secured £1.1m in funding, to support the launch and roll-out of its PatientMetRx, which captures the voice of the patient from millions of online sources and provides drug companies with a way to measure patients' experiences of taking medicines.
The company opened its New Jersey office earlier this year, and Strassberg (pictured) joins with 30 years' experience in the health and life sciences industry. Most recently, he led sales and marketing at healthcare marketing firm Eversana Intouch B2D, before which, he held sales leadership roles at IQVIA, L&M Healthcare Communications, and SmartAnalyst, and he was SVP, Enterprise Lead at Ogilvy Health, having begun his career at EY as a Senior Consultant in its Healthcare practice.
In his new role, Strassberg will focus on new customer acquisition, and working closely with current customers to help them maximize the value of their platform subscriptions.
