Emerging Markets Data Firm dataPlor to Expand Coverage
Emerging markets business and point-of-interest (POI) data provider dataPlor has announced plans to extend its coverage from 100 to 150 countries by the end of 2022.
Based in the US, the firm uses a proprietary platform combining AI automation and human support, to deliver licensable datasets for hard-to-reach global markets. Last year it launched regional POI datasets across Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with the addition of more than seven million new verified records.
Since March, the company has doubled its total count of POIs, and says that by working with local specialists who vet geospatial data, it has closed gaps in machine errors with 'boots-on-the-ground' verification. In a statement, dataPlor said: 'For a data intelligence firm dealing in local business information, keeping records up to date is a never-ending pursuit. From zip code changes to storefront closures, the work of maintaining accurate information in diverse markets continues. Dedicated to maintaining the infrastructure needed to ensure accuracy across locations old and new, dataPlor is putting businesses on the map in international markets and lighting the way for companies looking to establish themselves abroad'.
The firm, which is led by CEO and founder Geoff Michener (pictured), is online at www.dataplor.com .
