STRAT7 Acquires London's Jigsaw Research
UK-based insight group STRAT7 has acquired Jigsaw Research, which is based in London and also has an office in the US. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1998 by former Research International MD Sue van Meeteren (pictured), Jigsaw Research delivers qual and quant services in more than 50 countries across a range of sectors, including financial services; technology, media and telecoms; life sciences; professional services; public sector; and retail. Through its proprietary online research platform, Whycatcher, which integrates with WhatsApp, Jigsaw captures in the moment insights within both one-off projects and online research communities.
The deal is STRAT7's third in the past two years, following the acquisition of insight consultancy Incite nearly a year ago, and cultural trend specialist Crowd DNA in November 2020; while adding to the group which was founded in 2019 by insight and analytics agencies ResearchBods and Bonamy Finch, and start-up LiFE. In a statement, STRAT7 said that it is already working with Jigsaw Research to use the latter's WhatsApp interface in ex-plor, Researchbods' insight community platform.
Commenting on the acquisition, van Meeteren said it will give Jigsaw Research the opportunity to expand the firm's capabilities and provide clients with additional services, especially in the form of data analytics and international cultural insights. 'STRAT7's international footprint, especially in the US, means we are able to service our global clients more effectively, she added. 'We bring complementary skills and experience to the group and we can't wait to get started.'
