Former Comcast Exec Named ThinkAnalytics CRO
Personalized content and viewer insights provider ThinkAnalytics has appointed former Comcast exec Greg Riker as Chief Revenue Officer, leading US business development, sales and customer success teams for the Think360 viewer engagement platform.
Headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland and with offices in Los Angeles, Singapore and Pune, India, ThinkAnalytics offers a Personalized Images content recommendations algorithm - built on advanced AI techniques and data science to bring together intelligent search with media content recommendations. Last year, the firm partnered with Nielsen's entertainment metadata provider Gracenote, to launch a solution through which TV providers can improve image-based personalized video search and recommendations.
Riker (pictured) joins with twenty years' senior sales leadership experience in the media and entertainment sectors. Most recently, he led Americas business development and sales at Comcast for the Metrological business, which enables operators to integrate their TV and OTT content into a single viewer experience. Prior to this, until Metrological's acquisition by Comcast, he served as SVP at Metrological, responsible for all commercial activity including content acquisition for the Americas. Earlier, Riker spent a decade at telecoms equipment provider ARRIS in the US and the Netherlands, where he latterly led the global team responsible for selling the cloud distribution platform.
Based in the US, Riker will report to Chairman Eddie Young, who comments: 'Greg brings exceptional expertise about how streaming providers and pay-TV operators need to adapt to meet fast-changing consumer needs in today's competitive marketplace.
