Walr Promotes for New CIO Role
London-based data platform Walr has promoted Yaron Brenman to the newly created role of Chief Information Officer, following its recent ISO 27001 accreditation. Brenman is based in New York.
Walr opened at the end of 2020 and the following September acquired research tech business QuenchTec. The company offers the research industry 'data creation' solutions, drawing on an audience of millions, combined with data visualisation. Features of the platform include a survey builder, panel manager, analysis and reporting, and data distribution.
Brenman (pictured) joined the firm last year as Head of the Americas region, having previously worked for marcoms group Next15's data and insights business Savanta as SVP and General Manager, Americas. Earlier he co-founded research software and consulting firm thinqonline, which was sold to Next15 in 2018. During his career, Brenman also served as VP Sales and Marketing at analytics firm Ugam, and he spent more than twelve years at research software company Confirmit (now Forsta), latterly as VP Sales, MR Americas.
According to Walr, adding the CIO role demonstrates its 'desire to put quality front and center'. Lewis Reeves, founder and CEO, adds: 'As we scale quickly it's important that we build an extremely secure data company that delivers the highest level of trust and confidence for our customers. Yaron's industry experience, understanding of technology and attention to detail brings significant value to the business'.
