Groceries Researcher MTN Acquired
Information services and data analytics firm Creditntell has acquired grocery sector research and data provider MTN Retail Advisors. Terms were not disclosed.
US-based MTN provides market insights, including store-level estimated grocery sales data, and its team uses a 'boots-on-the-ground' approach to data collection at grocers across the US, with insights gathered from more than 36,000 touchpoints. Retailers and grocers use the firm's data and analysis to make decisions including property locations and the viability of markets.
MTN joins Creditntell, which with its sister companies F&D Reports, ARMS and AggData, provides financial, credit and geospatial intelligence to a diverse set of customer segments, including consumer product companies, retailers, retail real estate owners and investors, and lenders. As part of the deal, Doug Munson and John Tippetts (pictured), Principal Owners of MTN Retail Advisors, will join Creditntell's exec team.
Creditntell's President, Real Estate Services Josh Suffin comments: 'This acquisition will enable us to bring store-level grocery sales data and trade area impact analysis to our offerings, during a time when many of our users are seeking insights that can guide their investment strategy through difficult economic conditions. MTN's deep grocery knowledge and expertise will add significant value for our clients and aligns seamlessly with our best-in-class team of in-house analysts covering over fifteen retail segments'.
