NowVertical to Buy Smartlytics and Acrotrend

NowVertical Group (NOW), which combines human expertise and big data analytics, is to acquire two UK-based data analytics specialists - Smartlytics Consultancy and Acrotrend Solutions - for a total of $6.45m.

Smartlytics is a full-service customer insight and analytics company, specializing in customer data science for corporations, and service engagements to larger organizations on a customized basis through its head office in the UK and operations in Dubai and Cairo. The firm's Smartlytics Hub enables self-serve development of enterprise data solutions.

Acrotrend, which also has operations in India, is a customer analytics consultancy which focuses on enhancing customer lifetime value for clients, through industry expertise, data science and artificial intelligence. Services include customer journey analytics, customer data management and engineering.

The two companies will join Canada-based NOW, whose Chairman and CEO Daren Trousdell (pictured) comments: 'The addition of the Acrotrend and Smartlytics teams will help accelerate and grow our expected positive adjusted EBITDA and add additional opportunities for further organic growth in the UK, a key market for NOW. They also set the stage for our next round of acquisitions that, under the NOW banner, will help customers realize the potential of vertical intelligence'.
