Protobrand Names New CEO
In the US, behavioral science and MR consultancy Protobrand has appointed former employee Pal Marton Afzelius to Chief Executive Officer, taking over from founder and Chairman Anders Bengtsson.
Protobrand was originally set up as a branding and design firm in 2005, and six years later was relaunched as a market research company, when Bengtsson bought out the co-founder of the previous business. The firm now applies behavioral science to build technology research methods uncovering consumer motivations; and its Meta4Insight platform combines the principles of behavioral science, automation and AI to uncover insights from mobile surveys that capture observational data.
Marton Afzelius (pictured) joined the company in 2014 as VP Client Services in the early stages of establishing Protobrand as an MR company, and is regarded as its co-founder. More recently, he served as VP of Sales at language training company EF Education; before which he worked for Nokia Mobile Phones as Head of Sales Retail & Open Distribution, Scandinavia.
Commenting on the appointment, Bengtsson said: 'We're excited having Pal rejoin the company as CEO. His experience and optimistic leadership style will be instrumental for our team as we help companies to lead the world into an era of less resource intensive and sustainable lifestyles'.
The firm, which has offices in Boston, Toronto, Amsterdam and Stockholm, is online at www.protobrand.com .
