BritainThinks Hires for New Behavioural Science Team
London-based insight and strategy consultancy BritainThinks has appointed former Kantar exec Max Mawby, to establish a Behavioural Science team that complements its existing insight, communications and engagement offering.
Launched in 2010 by Opinion Leader co-founders Deborah Mattinson and Viki Cooke and their former colleague Ben Shimshon, employee-owned BritainThinks offers strategic advice for political, corporate and not-for-profit clients. Its WorldThinks international division has a specific focus on reputation research.
Mawby (pictured) previously worked at Kantar Public as Senior Director, Behavioural Practice UK, before which he was Head of Behavioural Science at personal savings solutions provider Plum Fintech. Earlier, he was Head of Financial Behaviour at The Behavioural Insights Team, previously known as the Nudge Unit.
Commenting on the appointment, Shimshon said: 'We have a fantastic track record providing our clients with insight into what their customers, service users, citizens and colleagues actually do, alongside what they think, feel and say. With his proven expertise in behavioural science theory and practice, Max will take that to the next level: dedicated behavioural insight and advisory to help our clients identify, explain and influence the behaviours that matter most for their businesses'.
