Seed Funds for Behaviour Forecasting Firm Ramp
UK-based behaviour forecasting firm Ramp has raised $5m in a seed round of funding, which it will use to support the onboarding of new clients.
Ramp specialises in 'cohort-based forecasting', a technique used to extrapolate the behaviour of different groups of customers for a product or service, from the moment they sign up. The firm uses statistical models for different cohorts in any forecast, while modelling the interactions between the different levers of a business, and with additional models to optimise inputs such as seasonality and live ops. Users can run scenarios and forecast in minutes, control the inputs, and determine the reporting metrics to suit their business.
Seed funding was led by AlbionVC and Eurazeo, with participation from Triple Point Ventures, and a number of angel investors. Dan Marcus (pictured), CEO and co-founder of Ramp, comments: 'Our long-term goal is to position Ramp as a single source of truth for the future of businesses, from which prescriptive and proactive analytics services can stem. We're at the forefront of this new product category and it's great to have such renowned investors believe in this vision and join us on this journey'.
