Hearst Hires Hogue for Senior Data Role
In the US, media group Hearst has hired long-time Nielsen exec Jessica Hogue as its first Chief Data Officer, Consumer Media. She takes up the new position on Monday.
Hearst, which has operations in 40 countries, has a portfolio which includes ownership in cable TV networks such as ESPN; 33 TV stations; 24 daily and 52 weekly newspapers; digital services businesses; and nearly 260 magazines around the world, as well as businesses such as credit ratings provider Fitch Group. Hogue (pictured) joins from online video ad and analytics tech firm Innovid, where she most recently served as General Manager of Measurement and Analytics. Before this she spent more than twelve years at Nielsen in various roles, including SVP Digital, leading the Digital Client Service team.
In her new role, Hogue will be responsible for driving Hearst's data strategy across its consumer media businesses, including magazines, newspapers and television. Commenting on the appointment, EVP and COO Mark Aldam said: 'Jessica has a diverse yet deep background in digital data management roles, and we are thrilled to have her leading our efforts in this vital area of our consumer businesses'.
