Funds and Newcastle Opening for DiffusionData
In the UK, real-time data streaming and messaging solutions firm DiffusionData has received £1m in funding from the North East Development Capital Fund (NEDCF), and will open an office in Newcastle.
Diffusion's Intelligent Data Platform pulls in large or small volumes of raw data, enhances it and distributes it across enterprises with varying levels of access allowed. The tools promise faster, data-driven application development, operating efficiencies and hyper-personalized data delivery.
NEDCF is supported by the European Regional Development Fund and managed by Maven Capital Partners. DiffusionData, which is headquartered in Reading, will launch an engineering and testing hub in the Helix development in Newcastle city centre, and recruit ten staff for it. CEO Grethe Brown (pictured) says the investment 'comes at a very exciting time' for the firm which is 'rapidly getting noticed as customers come on board and expand their use of the platform. She adds: 'This added confidence in DiffusionData will assist us in establishing an extended quality and performance team based in the North East; another significant step in supporting our footprint growth'.
The firm was formerly known as Push Technology, and has already benefitted from a £10m investment in 2020, led by Maven, as well as a £2.55m add-on last year.
