Opinium CEO Endersby to Serve as MRS Chair
In the UK, Opinium CEO James Endersby has been elected as Chair Designate of the Market Research Society (MRS). He starts the role next month, and will replace Zappi SVP Sinead Jefferies as Chair twelve months later.
MRS has members in more than 60 countries, at all levels of experience and seniority within agencies, consultancies, support services, client-side organisations, the public sector, and the academic community. Endersby (pictured) has led online research consultancy Opinium Research since 2010, before which he was Joint MD of MASMI Research Consulting Group, and held positions at management consultancy Monitor Group. In addition, he has been a fellow of the MRS since 2021.
This year's MRS election had fourteen candidates for four main Board places, and the successful candidates were:- Josephine Hansom, VP Youth at Savanta
- Shazia Ali, Director and founder of Mint Research
- LaShanda Seaman, Qualitative Research Manager at Opinium, and
- Rebecca Cole, MD at Cobalt Sky, who was re-elected to the main Board.
In addition Georgina White, Director of Customer Experience and Insight at Holland and Barrett, is now Chair of the MRS Senior Client Council. She replaces Robert Kitching, VP Consumer and Market Insights, Beauty and Personal Care division at Unilever, who will remain on the council.
MRS CEO Jane Frost said competition for places on the Board was 'incredibly tough' and added: 'I am excited to be working with an incredibly diverse Board and want to extend my heartfelt thanks to those who did not make it through this time'.
