Sims Returns to GfK in New Marketing Effectiveness Role
Kelly Sims has returned to GfK in the newly created role of Senior Vice President, Marketing Effectiveness, serving clients across various industries, but with a specialty in tech. He is based in San Jose, California.
Sims (pictured) re-joins with more than 30 years' experience in marketing and insights, with a focus on the tech and digital media markets, geographies, and audiences. Most recently, he was Head of Customer Insights at anti-malware software firm Malwarebytes, where he created and led a new function to provide external and internal insights from consumers, B2B security decision makers, and channel partners. Prior to this, he spent five years at GfK as SVP, Consulting, managing a team of researchers focused on tech, telecom, and digital media clients; he was Director of Product and Customer Insights at Symantec, and he held research and marketing roles at Intel and Trend Micro.
In his new role, Sims will bring research and analytic expertise to clients up and down the West Coast, spanning the breadth of GfK's Marketing and Consumer Intelligence portfolio, including brand health, campaign effectiveness, customer segmentation, and buyer journeys.
