Ipsos to Add Two to Board of Directors
Ipsos is planning to add two new members to its Board of Directors - Àngels Martín Muñoz, currently General Manager for Olympics at Atos; and Florence Parly, former Minister of the French Army. Their appointment is subject to a vote at the firm's AGM on 15th May.
Martín Muñoz joined multinational IT service and consulting company Atos in 2005, and ten years later was appointed General Manager for the Olympic Games, in charge of the provision of all services and technologies used by the International Olympic Committee as well as by organising committees including Pyeongchang, Tokyo, Beijing and Paris. Parly served as France's Secretary of State for the Budget, then Minister of the Armed Forces until last year. During her career, she has held numerous positions in different administrations, notably in the Ministry of Finance and in public or semi-public companies such as Air France or the SNCF; and she has served on the Boards of private companies listed on the Paris stock exchange such as Altran, Ingenico and Zodiac Aerospace.
If and when the appointments are approved, and the mandates of Eliane Rouyer-Chevalier, Laurence Stoclet, Patrick Artus and Ben Page renewed, the Board of Directors of Ipsos will be made up of thirteen members, including seven women and six men; seven independent directors, two directors appointed by representative trade unions, and four non-independent directors. Four nationalities will be represented, which the firm says illustrates its desire to open up its Board of Directors to the various markets in which it operates.
According to the company, on the recommendation of its appointments committee, which is responsible for the selection process for directors, the Board is ensuring that it has a wide range of experience and skills in the areas it considers important, including market research, politics, economics, international business management, finance and risk, digital, cybersecurity and technology, ESG and HR.
