Big Window Hires Makhani for Director Role

In the UK, specialist financial services (FS) and ageing research agency Big Window has hired long-time FS researcher Santosh Makhani as Research Director.

Big Window delivers an understanding of the psychological drivers of different purchase decisions in key product areas, with work that models and identifies specific drivers of decisions for pensions and life insurance. The firm also helps understand how older adults think, feel and behave, working with companies which provide products for the 50+ age group.

Makhani (pictured) joins with more than two decades of financial services sector experience, most recently gained at YouGov, where he served as Research Solutions Partner / Research Director in the Financial Services Custom team. Before this he was Research Director at Harris Interactive, having earlier been Senior Associate Director at Network Research, and Research Manager at GfK NOP.

In his new role, Makhani will strengthen a team comprising Nick Watkins, Frances Green, Vicky Ward and Phil Brooks, alongside its founder Lisa Edgar. In a statement, the firm said: 'As the financial services industry gets to grip with Consumer Duty, Santosh will be responsible for fostering new relationships and helping all our clients make insight led decisions underpinned by the latest thinking in consumer psychology'.
