Empower Translate Names First Chief Revenue Officer

UK-based insight industry language specialist Empower Translate has appointed Jonny Bates as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), responsible for all revenue generation processes within the agency. The firm has also hired Adina Salant as Vendor Manager, based in Romania.

Re-branded in 2019, Bristol-based Empower provides bespoke MR language solutions for research agencies, corporate insight departments, marketing consultancies and drug manufacturers. The firm's Unstructured Data Unit produces 'lights-out project management' solutions for response coding/theming, verbatim localisation and multimarket adverse event reporting.

Bates (pictured) joins after a decade at Global Lingo, latterly as Americas Sales Director, based in Chicago and earlier as Sales Director Asia Pacific based in Singapore. Earlier he worked for Applied Language Solutions as Business Development Manager, overseeing the global business across the retail, leisure, tourism and FMCG sectors.
