WPP Extends Agreement with Simmons

GroupM, a division of WPP Group USA, has announced an expansion of its multi-year agreement with Simmons Research, recently purchased by Experian. The agreement now includes two of the world's largest media agencies: MindShare and Mediaedge:cia, who will access the Simmons National and Hispanic Consumer Survey as well as its Teens and Kids studies.

According to Fran Kennish, Senior Partner and Director of Strategic Planning of Mediaedge:cia, 'Simmons' robust database of consumers - their needs and wants and media behavior spanning different population segments - will be an asset to Mediaedge:cia and our clients'.

Simmons, which was bought by Experian earlier this week (see www.mrweb.com/drno/news3486.htm ) describes its National Consumer Study as 'the first syndicated research study designed to measure and analyze all American adults - Hispanics/Latinos and non-Hispanics, English-speaking and Spanish-speaking - in a single cross-cultural databases'.

Media investment management company MindShare Worldwide and media communications specialist Mediaedge:cia are part of WPP's GroupM setup. Web sites are at www.mindshareworld.com , www.mecglobal.com and www.groupm.com .
