QCI to Buy Personality Analysis Firm millionways
In the US, Quantum Computing Inc. (QCI) has signed a non-binding letter of intent (LOI) to acquire 'emotionally intelligent' AI platform millionways, which uses the Personality Systems Interactive (PSI) theory model to deliver human behavior personality assessments. The deal is valued at up to $2m.
Headquartered in New York City, millionways develops AI algorithms to provide feedback on the emotional state of individuals and insights into their personalities. The firm's platform combines analysis and matchmaking algorithms based on various forms of user-generated text or audio-to-text data with at least 500 words. The firm says that unlike other machine learning platforms - such as ChatGPT, Alexa or Siri - its proprietary methodology and algorithms make behavorial predictions based on psychological patterns driven by underlying emotions.
The deal, which is subject to due diligence, will combine millionways' AI sensing algorithms with QCI's quantum photonics computing power. Robert Liscouski, QCI's CEO and co-founder, says the integration with QCI's Reservoir Computing systems will 'supercharge' millionways' algorithms to ingest audio files, adding a new capability to overlay context and tonal information to the existing natural language processing to text conversion data used by the system.
Martin Cordsmeier, CEO of millionways, adds: 'The market for a low-cost ability to objectively analyze individual personalities en masse is extremely large and lucrative. Within the first few days of our launching our testing engagement in April, it became apparent that using QCI's unique hybrid systems of quantum, photonics, and electronics would allow our AI developers the ability to extend our already vast capabilities using the massive increase in processing power with amazingly low electricity costs'.
