Accenture Buys Predictive Analytics Specialist Nextira

In the US, professional services giant Accenture has acquired Nextira, which uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deliver innovation, predictive analytics and immersive experiences for their clients. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Karthik NarainAustin, Texas-based Nextira builds cloud-based solutions and services with artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics, allowing clients to design, build, launch and optimize computing environments. It also offers 'Studio in the Cloud', a solution on AWS giving clients a virtual environment through which to develop and render 3D objects.

Nextira's nearly 70 employees will now join the Accenture AWS Business Group, with a focus on media and entertainment industry clients. This group is part of the Accenture Cloud First business, which focuses on redefining how organizations operate and create value by using cloud, data and AI.
