DAS Technology Buys Customer Data Platform 3 Birds
Customer data and experience platform (CDXP) DAS Technology has acquired the assets of CDXP tech company 3 Birds, which delivers SaaS-based marketing, analytics, and consumer engagement solutions to the automobile sector. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Launched in 2009, 3 Birds was established to help automobile dealers with issues such as siloed data, overlapping solutions, self-serving performance metrics, changing consumer behavior, and difficulty tracking the customer journey. The firm's CDXP is a cloud-based system that can illustrate a full 360-degree view of a customer, tracking customer interactions with a dealership and tailoring messaging to each customer's intent, needs, and interests.
3 Birds operates in sixteen countries, including the US, Canada, India, Australia, Japan, and Korea, and DAS Technology claims that through the acquisition, it becomes the largest CDXP provider in the automotive and speciality vehicle markets. In addition, the deal enhances DAS Technology's AI and data mining capabilities, while expanding its advanced analytics data sets. Two of the 3 Birds co-founders, Kristen Judd and Len Wohadlo, have joined the DAS Technology exec leadership team, along with other 3 Birds team members.
Alexi Venneri (pictured), co-founder and CEO of DAS Technology, comments: 'We are excited to add 3 Birds' technology to our suite of SaaS solutions. This is our ninth acquisition, further enhancing our award-winning CDXP platform for retailers in the automotive, RV, marine, motorcycle, and EV-related industries. This acquisition expands our data mining, consumer engagement, and messaging solutions while generating additional business intelligence for our OEM and retail partners.'
