Board Promotions and New MDs for BVA BDRC
Consumer insight consultancy BVA BDRC has promoted Lucy Watts, James Myring and James Bland to MD roles, overseeing the Financial and B2B, Media, and 'On the Move' divisions, respectively. The firm has also promoted Richard Stevenson and Kiran Kuttappa-Gold to its Board.
Originally set up in 1991 under the BDRC name, the group comprises full service agency BVA BDRC, mystery shopping and store observation firm ESA Retail, digital agency Alligator, operations business Perspective Research Services, and Viewpoint, a studio and qual recruitment specialist. In 2018, the company was acquired by French research and consultancy company BVA.
Watts joined in March after seventeen years at HSBC, latterly as Global Head of Insight, Global Marketing; Myring has been with the business for more than 23 years, most recently serving as Director Media and Internet Research; and Bland joined in 2011, and has been a Board Director for nearly five years. Stevenson joined nine years ago, and has recently served in a primarily European CX role; and Kuttappa-Gold joined in March after a decade at Ipsos, latterly as Director, Head of Project Management.
Watts also joins Myring and Bland on the Board. Bland becomes MD of 'On the Move', a division dedicated to complimentary 'out of home' sectors, including travel, tourism, hospitality and transportation.
