Merkle Names Andreas Skopal MD for MENA Region
Data-driven customer experience management company Merkle has appointed Andreas Skopal as Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. He is based in the United Arab Emirates.
Dentsu-owned Merkle specializes in the delivery of personalized customer experiences across platforms and devices, through its background in data, technology, and analytics, and skills in understanding consumer insights. Skopal (pictured) joins with more than twenty years of experience in customer experience transformation, marketing, technology, and strategy across the MENA and APAC regions. Most recently, he was Global Head of Innovation, Growth & Digital at Synpulse Management Consulting. Before this, he was the Senior Executive Advisor at Riyad Bank; Group Chief Digital Officer, EVP, at Gulf International Bank; Chief Digital & Innovation Officer at EY; and he spent eleven years at PwC, latterly as Senior Director, Digital & Customer Regional Leader.
In his new role, Skopal's focus will be on supporting brands in their customer experience transformation, and assisting them in navigating the data and technology decisions that support success locally, regionally and globally. He will lead the team across Riyadh, Dubai, Cairo, and Beirut in forging stronger alliance partnerships, generating new opportunities, fostering growth with existing clients, and enabling collaboration between Dentsu's CXM, Media, and Creative Service Lines.
