Location Intel Firm Foursquare Names Head of Product

US-based location intelligence provider Foursquare has appointed Wade Wegner as Senior Vice President, Global Head of Product.

Foursquare's location intelligence technology helps brands to locate, message and measure their own consumers. After acquiring geospatial analytics and visualization platform Unfolded in 2021, Foursquare said it is now a single source of easy-to-use location data and technology, 'providing clients with the ability to access and apply spatial features to a variety of first-party and third-party data sets'.

Wegner (pictured) joins with more than two decades' of experience in developing product strategies and teams. Most recently, he was Chief Product Officer at API marketplace Rapid, where he managed product strategy, development and innovation. He previously held engineering and product leadership roles at companies that include Twilio, Salesforce and Microsoft.

In his new position, Wegner will develop a product strategy, cultivate innovation, and build geospatial products. A member of the executive team, he will report to President and CEO Gary Little, who comments: 'Wade brings an impressive track record of building software tools and scaling platforms specifically designed for developers.
