Expansion Funds for Customer Data Platform Distil.ai
In the UK, customer data platform Distil.ai has raised a further £1.1m in funding, for use in further enhancing its platform and expanding its sales and marketing team.
Founded in 2018 by data scientist Gerry McNicol (pictured), the Exeter-based company captures buying signals and behaviour across a range of digital platforms, then distils it into a single customer view and categorises customers into segments. The platform enables companies of all sizes without their own in-house data teams to access business intelligence for eCommerce, and use their data to grow their businesses.
The new funding round adds to £400k raised in 2021, led by venture capital firm Mercia. The new funding has also been led by Mercia, with participation from unnamed angel investors. McNicol comments: 'At Distil, we are passionate about the power of data. It is the lifeblood of any business, shaping the landscape of industries around us. With the support of our partners in this funding round, we're set to accelerate the shift towards a more insightful and efficient future'.
