Metyis Opens Business Analytics Hub in North Portugal
Amsterdam-based big data and advisory services provider Metyis has opened an eCommerce, advanced business analytics, and technology and data hub in Gondomar, Portugal, and extended its partnership with German luxury clothing brand HUGO BOSS.
Metyis works with clients in a range of consumer sectors, from fifteen global offices including Porto, Lisbon and Faro, where it employs around 200 staff. More than EUR 15m has been invested in the new Metyis Campus, which currently comprises two buildings and will create approximately 1,000 new jobs, including the 250 jobs designed to operate the HUGO BOSS Digital Campus.
The HUGO BOSS Campus is a joint venture between the two firms, with Metyis holding a 70% share and a plan for HUGO BOSS to fully acquire the Campus in 2026. The Campus is currently seeking to recruit for data-related roles, data scientists and engineers, and scrum masters, and existing employees are tasked with creating data architecture infrastructure, advanced business analytics, and the development and enhancement of HUGO BOSS' eCommerce platform and services.
Yogen Singh, CEO of Metyis, says the Campuses, whether in Portugal, Spain, India, or Mexico, operate as 'centers of excellence' in digital, data and technology. Daniel Grieder, CEO of HUGO BOSS, adds: 'In partnership with Metyis, we will increase our digital and data analytics capabilities and tap into the power of data, thereby enhancing the competitiveness and efficiency of our business activities. We are very pleased to be in the Porto region and look forward to the many new talents we will be able to attract here'.
