Dentsu Invests in AI Monitoring Firm Fiddler Labs
Dentsu's venture capital fund Dentsu Ventures has made an undisclosed investment in AI monitoring specialist Fiddler Labs, which offers capabilities for examining predictive and generative models.
Founded in 2018 by Krishna Gade (CEO) and Amit Paka (COO), US-based Fiddler Labs aims to provide companies with visibility into their AI and machine learning models' behavior and predictions. The firm's AI Observability platform is designed to enable companies to monitor, analyze, explain and improve AI and machine learning models, and detect 'bias' to mitigate potential fairness risks, which the company says can harm brands. In addition, Fiddler Labs' Explainable AI helps outline the business implications and potential biases of models in human language.
In a statement, Gade (pictured) said: 'With algorithmic decision-making integral across industries and functions, there are widening concerns around the misuse of AI. Lack of transparency and the potential for model bias have led to a growing demand for AI regulations to ensure responsible AI deployment. We're thrilled to have Dentsu Ventures on board to help us accomplish our mission.'
