Funds and Beta Launch for Analytics Firm Prospective
Interactive analytics and data visualization specialist Prospective has raised $6m in a seed round of funding; and launched a private beta period for a limited number of firms. Money will be used to expand the firm's operations and business reach.
Prospective's interactive tool provides seamless data access, analysis and sharing of large and streaming datasets, giving users insights in real-time via a straightforward web browser interface. The firm was founded by Andrew Stein and Eric Schmalzbauer and is the Enterprise version of the open-source data and analytics project of the same name.
The round was led by Point72 Ventures with participation from five other investors. CEO and co-founder Schmalzbauer (pictured) comments: 'Across both technology and business, accessing, analyzing, visualizing and sharing data is overly complex, time consuming and costly - both within an organization, as well as with external partners and clients. The evolution toward real time data access whether for customer retention, observability, or transaction analysis is a challenge across all types of teams and enterprises'.
