Wasserman to Buy Chime's CSM Sport & Entertainment
Sports marketing agency Wasserman has reached a deal to acquire London-based marketing and brand experience agency CSM Sport & Entertainment from marketing services group Chime. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
CSM offers clients a range of capabilities from digital and data to consulting and commercial strategy, supported by audience data and industry insights. The firm's 'Weekend Project' platform enables a two-way dialogue with fans and consumers to understand the 'why, what and how' behind fan passions. Weekend Project is used to follow F1, football and esports fans, to deliver human insights for brands.
CSM employs more than 1200 people, in over 20 locations globally, and is chaired by double Olympic champion Lord Sebastian Coe (pictured). The takeover is expected to close in the current quarter.
