DoubleVerify Adds Authentication for YouTube Shorts
US-based digital media measurement and analytics platform DoubleVerify (DV) has expanded its media quantity authentication service to YouTube Shorts, Masthead and In-feed Video formats.
Acquired by private equity firm Providence Equity Partners in 2017, DV offers MRC-accredited software that verifies the quality and effectiveness of digital ads. Last year the firm became the first company to receive MRC accreditation for third-party calculation and reporting of YouTube video viewing, for desktop and mobile using Google's Ads Data Hub (ADH).
With the expansion, DV's technology can help advertisers on YouTube Shorts ensure their video ads are viewable by a human being, and are safe from fraud/invalid traffic (IVT). In addition, DV now provides viewability and fraud measurement across YouTube Masthead and In-feed Video inventory. Advertisers gain access to measurement data and insights across all new inventory through DV Pinnacle, the company's unified service and analytics reporting platform, to monitor and optimize the performance of their YouTube ad campaigns.
CEO Mark Zagorski (pictured) comments: 'Short-form videos offer advertisers a high-engagement forum to connect with passionate online communities. This release enables our customers to authenticate their media and maximize campaign effectiveness'.
