Burke Promotes for President and CCO Roles
US research and training company Burke Inc. has promoted Tara Marotti to the role of company President, while John Thomas moves into her previous role as Chief Client Officer (CCO).
Employee-owned Burke uses research, analytics and technology to support clients across all major industry sectors; and also provides MR and consumer insights education through The Burke Institute. Marotti (pictured) joined nearly 29 years ago as a Project Manager, and has since held a number of roles, including most recently Chief Client Officer. In her new position, taking over as President from CEO Diane Surette, who previously held both roles, Marotti will lead a combined group of research operations, insights and analytics, technology, and Seed Strategy (Burke's innovation and strategy consultancy).
Thomas joined the firm in 2009 as VP Client Services, and most recently served as Head of Client Services. He previously worked at Clear Seas Research as an Executive Director, and spent more than thirteen years at Market Strategy International (MSI), latterly as VP, Healthcare Delivery Systems Group. Following his promotion, Thomas will work closely with Burke's Chief Research Officer, and add Marketing to his team, which includes Client Services and Burke Healthcare.
Surette comments: 'Given her experience across the organization and her ability to build teams and foster talent, I am confident that Tara will excel in her new role. As CCO, John will continue to establish meaningful partnerships with new clients and provide the exceptional quality and collaboration that our clients have come to know and expect from Burke. Both Tara and John are valued members of our executive leadership team, and I look forward to working with them in their new roles and seeing what we can accomplish together'.
