DiffusionData Names Americas MD
Real-time data streaming and messaging solutions firm DiffusionData has appointed Scott Fink as Managing Director for the Americas, responsible for all customer and partner engagements across the US, Canada and Latin America. He is based in Illinois.
Diffusion's Intelligent Data Platform pulls in large or small volumes of raw data, enhances it and distributes it across enterprises with varying levels of access allowed. The tools promise faster, data-driven application development, operating efficiencies and hyper-personalized data delivery. In March, the firm received £1m in funding from the North East Development Capital Fund (NEDCF), and opened an office in Newcastle, UK.
Fink (pictured) joins after more than seventeen years at derivatives marketplace CME Group, latterly as Executive Director, Site Reliability Engineering. During his time with the company, Fink was responsible for global trading and post trade infrastructure and support, to manage market data delivery. He also oversaw teams in Chicago, New York, Belfast, London and APAC, to support CME's trading and clearing applications and post-trade processing in production environments.
Commenting on the appointment, CEO Grethe Brown said: 'Scott has extensive experience and knowledge of the technical nuances and challenges that exchanges and financial institutions face today and in the future. He has seen firsthand the impact that Diffusion can have in terms of saving money, enhancing personalisation and managing huge volumes of real-time market data. He will be a valuable asset for our customers to engage with and he will help us strengthen our market-leading position globally'.
