Ellie.ai Gets Funds to Support Data Product Design
In Finland, data product design and collaboration tools provider Ellie.ai has raised EUR 2.5m in a seed round of funding. The money will help data teams design products, validate product ideas and create new workflows for its customers.
Helsinki-based Ellie.ai aims to help global businesses understand their data product needs, before committing to building data pipelines. The firm applies its expertise in conceptual data modelling on a larger scale, leading to the creation of a technology-supported data product design workflow geared to enhancing collaboration between businesses and data teams.
New funding has been co-led by Newion and Crowberry Capital. Johannes Hovi (pictured), CEO and co-founder of Ellie.ai, comments: 'If we look at the modern data stack there are hundreds of tools to help you automate, build and document your data architecture. Despite this, the percentage of data projects that provide a clear return on investment hasn't changed. People get lost in their complex data tools and stacks. We believe the most productive data products start from people, culture, and the need to drive better collaboration across the organization'.
