SurveyMonkey Appoints CMO
DIY online survey pioneer SurveyMonkey has appointed former Cloudflare and AWS exec Amit Prakash as Chief Marketing Officer.
Headquartered in San Mateo, California, SurveyMonkey provides online subscription-based tools through which individuals can create surveys, collect responses and analyze results, and an Enterprise version for companies to gather, compare and share business feedback data. A division based around acquired firm GetFeedback offers software to help companies understand and improve their customer experience.
Prakash spent the last three years as Head of Global Growth Marketing at computer and network security firm Cloudflare, driving increasing adoption of products within the firm's existing customer base. Before this he worked for nine years at Amazon Web Services (AWS) building data, digital marketing and operations teams responsible for driving new customer acquisition and increasing their ongoing usage. Earlier he worked for five and a half years at marcoms giant OMD. He holds a B.E. in Electronics Engineering and two Masters degrees in Management Information Systems and Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
SurveyMonkey CEO Eric Johnson, who joined the company in 2022 in an interim role as CMO, says of the permanent hire: 'With our return to the iconic SurveyMonkey brand earlier this year, we are doubling down on what's great about SurveyMonkey - including driving product-led growth by delivering tremendous value for customers. Amit's proven track record of building impactful marketing teams at high-growth technology companies makes him well-positioned to help us reach our ambitious goals. I'm thrilled to welcome him aboard to help lead the charge'.
