i4i Promotes Nicholson for New CTO Role
Needham, Massachusetts-based in4mation insights (i4i) has promoted John Nicholson to be its first Chief Technology Officer. The firm offers marketing performance measurement and optimization solutions with a focus on Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM).
i4i says the appointment underlines its ongoing commitment to developing transformational software tools to support and supplement its core competency in MMM software and services, delivered to large and medium-sized advertisers over more than fifteen years. The company applies robust hierarchical Bayesian analytics to the complexities of media spending and marketing performance measurement, and last month launched Optimetry, described as an 'always-on' SaaS optimization tool for dynamic scenario planning.
Nicholson has served for three years as i4i's Chief Data Scientist - playing a key role in Optimetry's development - and before that was the firm's Director, Marketing Analytics for two years. An expert in mathematical optimization with experience in probabilistic modeling, he holds a PhD in Computational & Mathematical Engineering, with a focus on optimization, from The University of Iowa.
Company Partner and co-founder Steve Cohen says of the promotion: 'We knew from his arrival at i4i that John was a special talent: that rare blend of consummate data science acumen, software development expertise, and understanding of clients' business challenges. His efforts have been a terrific complement to our MMM Bayesian modelers and analysts. He has built truly transformative software tools, like Optimetry, that allow i4i to deliver against client goals in media measurement and optimization with timely and cost-effective solutions. His leadership in this area will accelerate our growth in the future'.
