Former Brandwatch Chairman Joins Pureprofile Board
Australia-based data and insights company Pureprofile has appointed former Brandwatch Chairman Mark Heeley as a Non-Executive Director.
Pureprofile offers research solutions providing insights into consumer behaviour to marketers, researchers and brands, building in-depth profiles of consumers via proprietary and partner panels and allowing users both to understand and then target / engage them. Founded in 2000 and based in Surry Hills, NSW, Australia, it now operates in North America, Europe and APAC.
Heeley, who now lives in Sydney, brings a track record of building and fostering businesses in the media, marketing, software, consumer intelligence and social media management spaces. Between 1990 and 2002 he founded and was joint CEO of Claydon Heeley, a London-based direct marketing agency which had offices in London and Beijing and more than 100 employees at the time of its sale in 1998 to Omnicom. In the early 2000s he became an advisor and early stage investor in media and technology businesses; was appointed Chairman of insurance industry services business Improveline and an NED of automated property sector services firm Hometrack. More recently he was an early investor and Board member of Brandwatch, serving as Chairman for 12 years. Brandwatch grew rapidly to more than 1,000 employees and was sold to private equity firm Platinum in 2021 for $450m - it is now part of Cision.
