Toluna Confirms Exec Team following MetrixLab Buy

Toluna has confirmed its senior team following the June acquisition of MetrixLab. The firm's Chief Sales, Research, Technology and Financial Officers will remain in role while former MetrixLab Global HR Director Hans Verhulst becomes Chief People Officer and Jolique Weelink Chief Insight Officer.

Insights tech and panel provider Toluna acquired research solutions provider MetrixLab from owner Macromill, with the latter firm taking a minority equity stake in Toluna and venture capital funding firm Verlinvest remaining the largest shareholder in the combined entity.

In the new structure, Pierre Camagne (pictured) will remain as CFO; Kevin Daly as Chief Sales Officer; Susan Vidler as Chief Research Officer; and Frank Smadja as CTO.

Camagne (pictured) joined Toluna more than eight years ago as Group CFO, and took up his present position in 2019. He was previously an Investment Director at Verlinvest; and a Senior Consultant in the Corporate Restructuring Department at Ernst & Young. In his CFO role, Camagne will continue to oversee the company's financial strategy, decisions and reporting.

Daly has been responsible for leading the company's Global Sales teams and driving Toluna's growth since 2001, before which he held roles at Verint, Nielsen and Affinnova. Vidler has been CRO since 2021, having first joined Harris Interactive (acquired by Toluna) in 2007. As CRO, she leads the group's Global Research, Client Service, and Customer Success teams.

Smadja has served as Toluna's CTO since joining the group in 2007, and is responsible for leading the Engineering, Product Management and IT teams.

Verhulst will take the title of Chief People Officer, responsible for strategy and vision for the HR function, after serving as Global HR Director for MetrixLab, and previously spending fourteen years at GfK; latterly as Head of GfK Netherlands / HR Director. Weelink has been appointed as Chief Insight Officer. after holding a variety of positions for MetrixLab since first joining the company in 2007 - most recently serving as Global Head of Technology, Innovation and Consultancy. She will now oversee platform and solution strategy, innovation, data science, and quality.
