MiQ Buys Media Governance Tech Firm Grasp
Marketing intel and programmatic media specialist MiQ has acquired French media governance MarTech company Grasp, promising to help agencies and brands save 'millions' in potential digital ad revenue losses through improved data integrity. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Grasp's SaaS suite addresses the challenges of media budget overspend - which it says is often caused by waste, human error, and fraud when marketing data is 'broken' or lost due to manual processes. The firm's quality assurance and compliance products aim to prevent non-compliances and enforce governance frameworks before campaign launch, eliminating manual errors and saving advertisers potential lost revenue due to overspend or the demise of third-party cookies.
The news follows MiQ's 2022 acquisition of UK-based AirGrid, designed to provide clients with access to 'future-proof targeting and activation capabilities' and align with privacy regulations. Gurman Hundal (pictured), MiQ's co-founder and CEO, comments: 'The acquisition of Grasp is another exciting step in the evolution of our company as we look to grow, lead the digital advertising industry, and help advertisers forge forward in their programmatic journeys. Grasp's technology adds the first SaaS platform to our offering and will prove instrumental in strengthening media buying for brands and agencies across the globe'.
