NIQ Promotes for NA President Role as Danubio Retires
Consumer analytics and market intelligence provider NIQ has promoted Elizabeth Buchanan to serve as President of its North American business, based in Chicago. She replaces Jeanne Danubio, who is retiring after 38 years with the business.
The company was formerly known as NielsenIQ, and grew out of the Buy division of the old unified Nielsen. Owned by investor Advent International, earlier this year it merged with GfK.
Buchanan (pictured) brings a track record in strategic leadership, business development, and fostering growth within the CPG industry. Most recently she was Global Head of Customer Success and Platform Transformation, after working in MD roles overseeing the same two areas for North America. She is also active on a number of boards for community development and philanthropy, including the charitable Cradles to Crayons initiative where she is Chair of the Development Committee.
Danubio has held her current role for two and a half years and previously held the title of President in predecessor businesses Nielsen Consumer Intelligence and Nielsen Connect. NIQ COO Tracey Massey comments: 'we extend our deepest appreciation to Jeanne Danubio for her invaluable contributions throughout her tenure at NIQ. Jeanne's dedication and expertise have been instrumental in shaping our company's journey, and we are profoundly grateful for her outstanding efforts. Her legacy will continue to inspire us as we embark on this new chapter'.
Massey says the promotion is 'a pivotal moment for NIQ', adding: 'Her extraordinary leadership acumen and profound industry insight impeccably align with our steadfast dedication to innovation and customer-centric solutions. Elizabeth brings exceptional skills and a visionary approach that will steer our company toward an even more vibrant future'.
