Alteryx Invests in Fellow Analytics Firm Bigeye
NYC-based data observability platform Bigeye has announced a strategic investment from analytics cloud provider Alteryx, to help strengthen its platform and global reach.
Bigeye's data quality monitoring helps teams view the status of data pipelines and detect issues before they impact business. Alteryx itself offers a platform combining new sources of big data with market knowledge, location insight and existing business intelligence for solutions including predictive analytics and production of analytics apps. It launched its Alteryx Ventures arm in 2021 with $50m in initial funding.
The amount of the latest investment was not specified, but the firms say it brings the total raised by Bigeye to $68.5m and earlier rounds included a Series A $17m raise and a $45m Series B, both in 2021, leaving a possible $6.5m. The new money will be used to develop the product and extend the firm's partner ecosystem. Bigeye also acquired enterprise metadata management and data governance specialist Data Advantage Group, in June this year.
Bigeye CEO and founder Kyle Kirwan says of the investment, 'I've spoken with enterprise data leaders across many verticals and the need for reliable analytics is a constant theme. Alteryx continues to exhibit leadership in the enterprise analytics space, and we believe with Alteryx's investment, our customers will be able to unlock new capabilities and benefits. Ultimately, both Bigeye and Alteryx allow enterprise leaders to make strategic investments in their data programs with full confidence that they will be able to deliver fast but also reliable insights to their organizations'.
Founded by two former execs of Uber, Bigeye is online at www.bigeye.com while Alteryx is at www.alteryx.com .
