CX Firm Great State Appoints Joint MDs

London-based digital customer experience agency Great State has promoted Jinny Mitchell-Kent and David Chandler to serve as Joint Managing Directors, effective immediately. They replace and will report to Stuart Avery who steps back into the role of Non-Executive Chairman.

Great State applies consumer insight to its clients' digital innovation challenges to optimise customer experience, and says the appointments signal a new era in which it will 'help close the digital expectation gap between brands and their customers'

Mitchell-Kent was previously COO, and has worked for the company for four years, joining from creative agency AKQA where she was Executive Delivery Director. Chandler was previously Division Director for the firm's Defence offering. He also joined four years ago, from retail data company Harte Hanks where he was SVP Client Service.

Avery says the two new MDs 'have been an integral part of the agency's significant growth journey over the past two years', adding: 'I look forward to seeing the Jinny-David duo propel the agency, our people, and our clients further into this new era of growth. They are both extremely impressive individuals but together they are a phenomenal team and a force to be reckoned with'.

Chandler comments: 'Jinny and I come at things from a slightly different perspective based on our professional backgrounds, but we have developed a unique talent for being able to bounce ideas off each other and see things from each other's perspective. Not only does this benefit our agency and people, but it will also help drive growth for our current and future clients'. Mitchell-Kent in turn praises Chandler as 'a people-first and collaborative leader who understands the importance of being close to his clients' but 'pushes them outside of their comfort zone, championing excellent work and driving innovation and quality'.

The pair will be supported by a senior leadership team including recent hires Matt Powell as Creative Director, Andy Ingle as Head of UX and Coris Leachman, Head of New Business'.
