New President for Training Institute MRII
Nonprofit insight industry education and training institute MRII has appointed a new Board President, Jonathan Lepisto of U.S. Bank, who has been a Board member since 2017.
MRII (Market Research Institute International) aims to meet the continuing educational and training needs of MR professionals worldwide, and works with the University of Georgia to develop and deliver online courses which are endorsed by the main national and international industry organizations.
Lepisto (pictured) succeeds Paul Hunter of Miami University, who will remain on the Board as Past President. The new President is currently Manager of Research Insights and Product Strategy at U.S. Bank, and earlier in his twenty-year career in the sector held MR leadership roles at dunnhumby, Ipsos and on the client side. He comments: 'We are in an exciting time for understanding customers. Never before have we had so much insight into what customers do, think and feel. I'm excited that in my new role with MRII I can help other people learn how to best tap into this insights stream and receive the training and education they need to better understand customers, consumer audiences and the world around us'.
Lepisto will work closely with MRII's Executive Director Ed Keller, who says of the changes: 'Jonathan has played a critical role for MRII during his Board tenure and I am excited to work with him during 2024 to further MRII's mission. In 2023 as President elect and chair of our Strategic Planning Committee he has crafted an exciting vision for MRII's future that builds on our heritage and embraces the exciting changes taking place in the market research industry. With all the change that is upon us, one thing remains clear: the need for comprehensive, up-to-date educational and training resources for the industry has never been greater'.
