Senior APAC Appointments for Dynata

Dynata has appointed three senior directors: Derek Brown as VP Australia and New Zealand, based in Sydney; Michael Fegan as VP North Asia, based in Hong Kong; and Russell Carter as Country Manager in Singapore.

Dynata, which provides first-party data for insights, activation and measurement, says the hires accelerate its growth strategy regionally, while underscoring its commitment to providing customers with high-quality data and services.

Brown brings more than 25 years' MR industry experience including sales, people management and business growth. He rejoins the company from online research platform Glow, where he was Global MD, Sales and Operations. He will now lead Dynata's ANZ commercial strategy and drive its innovation agenda.

Fegan is also a rejoiner, a third of his eighteen years in senior management and business development roles coming in a previous spell at Dynata, and has also worked for Kantar and Nielsen. He worked in Vietnam, South Korea, Singapore and Japan, before moving to Hong Kong in 2016.

Russell takes responsibility for driving growth and delivering value for clients across Southeast Asia. His seventeen plus years of experience across APAC span a variety of agency and client side roles, most recently at dairy company Fonterra as Global Head of Insights. Earlier he worked as COO for Kantar in Singapore and spent eleven years in research agencies in Shanghai. He also spent a decade as a Professional Chef at five-star hotels in Australia.
