Senior Hire for HFS Research
Software automation veteran Francis Carden has joined analyst firm HFS Research as Chief Technology Evangelist.
Carden (pictured) brings four decades of experience from software automation roles, including co-founding Pixel Innovations and OpenSpan - the latter was sold in 2016 to Pega, for whom Carden then led the digital automation and robotics business. He has also served as CEO in a number of businesses, and has already worked for HFS as a Research Fellow and Senior Advisor, impressing colleagues with his 'passion for proving the impact of technologies on an organization's bottom line', as well as his entrepreneurial background.
In his new role, Carden will drive HFS' innovation and thought leadership, including overseeing the growth of its 'Hot Tech' and Tech Provider Programs. These schemes involve cultivating relationships with technology leaders leading technology transformation engagements, as well as speaking at industry conferences and company summits. Carden will also help clients with application development, user interface optimization, productivity gains, and improved customer experience utilizing low-code platforms, robotic process automation, AI and the cloud.
Founder and CEO Phil Fersht comments: 'Having worked with Francis for over 10 years, I am thrilled to welcome him to our team. We have frequently debated critical industry topics (often publicly) and I've personally learned a lot from his wealth of hands-on experience and his courage to voice uncomfortable truths. His addition strengthens our commitment to providing innovative solutions, thought leadership, and unparalleled value to our clients, and we are confident that his insights and experience will be instrumental in shaping the future of our organization. We look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly make'.
