Big Name Client Researchers Join WIRe Advisory Board
Global non-profit organization Women in Research (WIRe) has added Meta's Jackie Chan, Alex Owens of Unilever and Reckitt's Dr. Elaine Rodrigo to its advisory board, as well as System1's Chief People Officer Emma Cooper representing the supply side.
Chan brings more than twenty years of experience in global B2B and B2C research and consulting in the financial services and tech sectors. She joined the Facebook parent in 2021, having worked previously as VP Head of Research and Analytics for Prudential Financial. She is also currently serving as Chair Elect, Board of Directors at the Insights Association.
Cooper has been part of ad and brand insights firm System1 since 2004, working in global operations for more than five years and joining the Executive Team in April 2020 as Chief People Officer.
Owens is the CMI VP and Global Head of People Data Centre at Unilever, and also the Executive Sponsor of proUd, the consumer goods giant's LGBTQI+ Community. Previously he was Head of Insight & Analytics at supermarket Sainsbury's, and held research roles at Millward Broan, the BBC, Sky, Capital One and Lloyds Banking Group.
Rodrigo is Reckitt's Chief Insights & Analytics Officer, focusing on understanding consumer behaviour change to drive both positive societal impact and business growth. Her more than twenty years of FMCG experience also include insights roles at Danone and Mondelez/Kraft Foods.

Babita Earle, Dyna Boen, Erica Van Lieven and Lynnette Cooke will retire as emeritus WIRe Board members in accordance with their term; while incumbent members Jo Brockhurst (Kantar), Laura Chaibi (Roku), Shazia Ginai (Catalyx), Tiama Hanson-Drury (Minna Technologies), Damon Jones (Burke, Inc.), and Cherie Leonard (Colgate-Palmolive) remain in place.
