Shelton Returns to Forethought in Joint MD Role
Australia marketing advisory, strategy and analytics company Forethought has appointed Diane Shelton and Andrew Slot as Joint Managing Directors, effective immediately. Shelton is a former CEO returning to the firm, while ten-year company veteran Slot has been serving as Interim MD for the past year.
Shelton (pictured right) joined the business in 2017 as Executive General Manager before being promoted to CEO in 2020, stepping aside in late 2021 and serving as a non-executive advisory board member for the past eighteen months. Her career has spanned retail, telecoms, higher education and financial services in Australia and elsewhere, and included working as SVP Strategy and Transformation, at South Eastern Grocers in Florida; General Manager, Consumer Strategy at NBN Co Limited; General Manager, Customer Knowledge and Insight, at Coles; Managing Director of Ipsos in China and Hong Kong; and Group Manager, Market Knowledge at Telstra.
Slot (pictured left) joined Forethought in 2013 as General Manager, Consulting and held that role for nearly a decade, working across the retail, aviation, quick-service restaurants, media and telecoms sectors. He was promoted to Interim MD at the end of 2022. Earlier he held senior marketing and brand roles at Billabong, ADvTECH and BlueScope Steel.
The pair will work closely with and report to Executive Chairman and founder Ken Roberts (centre), who comments: 'Diane and Andrew are among the best and most experienced marketing strategy and insights people in Australia, and both have been an integral part of the Forethought family for many years.
