Circana Adds Canadian Foodservice Tracker
Consumer behavior data firm Circana has launched SalesTrack, which tracks brand performance relative to competition on a weekly basis within the Canadian foodservice industry.
With the addition of Canada, Circana now covers eight key global markets via collaborations with chains in North America, Europe and the Middle East, promising 'a broad perspective on industry trends and benchmarks'. This includes weekly reports of critical sales metrics, delivered five days after the close of each week.
SalesTrack complements Circana's existing consumer foodservice tracking product in Canada, CREST. Key benefits of the new service include insights into Sales Decomposition - the factors driving sales changes, whether ticket count or ticket value; Store Efficiency, comparing per-store sales and ticket counts against market averages; Absolute Ticket Value, benchmarking ticket values against competitors to inform pricing strategies; and Store Count Impact, analyzing same-store and total system performance to identify organic growth opportunities. Users can also drill down into specific weeks to assess the impact of initiatives and events.
Foodservice industry analyst Vince Sgabellone (pictured) comments: 'SalesTrack is more than just data: it's a strategic advantage for restaurants. With this innovative solution, restaurants gain timely access to valuable insights into their performance, allowing them to identify trends, optimize operations, and stay competitive in this rapidly evolving industry'.
