ISG Adds AI Software Research Practice
Technology research and advisory firm Information Services Group has announced the launch of a new AI software research practice, via its software insights division Ventana Research. The launch complements that of the Group's Enterprise AI Advisory business, launched in January.
David Menninger (pictured), Executive Director for Technology Research, will head up the new research practice area, which includes six areas of focus: Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Machine Learning Operations, Model Building & Large Language Models, and Natural Language Processing. In each area, the new practice will explore the use cases and requirements needed to successfully apply AI technologies, and this year Ventana will produce a Buyers Guide on AI Platforms including an assessment of Generative AI Platforms and Machine Learning Operations to help enterprises understand and assess software providers.
Menninger comments: 'Our research shows that, over the next three years, more than half of enterprises will realize their AI competencies and skills are insufficient and will require new investments to avoid being at a competitive disadvantage. Our new AI expertise area heightens our focus on the evolution of software supporting AI to help enterprises understand and deploy this valuable set of technologies'.
