Stagwell Opens New EMEA Headquarters in London
Marcoms network Stagwell, which owns the Harris Poll and Harris X brands as well as Maru Group, has opened its new EMEA headquarters in London's Blue Fin Building on the South Bank.
Stagwell was established in 2015 by PSB co-founder Mark Penn, and promptly acquired Nielsen's entertainment research subsidiary NRG, followed by its Harris brand and Harris Poll just over a year later. In December 2020 it merged with marcoms group MDC Partners, and a year ago it acquired research and advisory services provider Maru Group, whose expertise it has since been bringing together with that of Harris to launch a range of new services under the Harris Quest brand.
The group's EMEA agencies were key to respectable results in 2023 and CEO Penn says the new office 'underscores Stagwell's investment in European growth' - in February it acquired London-based Sidekick, as well as What's Next Partners (WNP), a French digital brand and marketing consultancy whose offer includes consumer intelligence, CRM and data analytics.
James Townsend (pictured), CEO of Stagwell EMEA comments: 'Continued growth in our creative and media portfolios, and our deep commitment to scaling our research, digital transformation and technology businesses will drive connected solutions across the whole region'.
The office was previously planned to open in late January.
Stagwell employs more than 13,000 specialists in more than 34 countries and is online at www.stagwellglobal.com .
