Ten New Equity Partners for Opinium
In the UK,strategic insight agency Opinium has named ten more staff members as equity partners,as it aims for eventual 50% employee ownership.
The firm,in which twenty-one employees now own a percentage equity share, says the latest moves follow 'another increased valuation'. Opinium was founded in 2007 by 28 investors, predominantly from outside the MR sector, who agreed to release up to 50% of their equity to be offered to individual employees when revenue and valuation targets were met.
The ten new partners are Ande Gilmartin, Carolyn Morden, Emily Dickinson, Isabel McGovern, Jack Tadman, Jenny Bates, Lorien Perryfrost, Molly Maclean, Priya Minhas and Tom McEnery.
CEO James Endersby, who joined at the beginning of 2010, comments: 'This model is unheard of in our sector and I'm absolutely thrilled to welcome ten more talented colleagues as equity owners of the agency, and more in the future. Huge kudos to all our original equity partners for ensuring when the Partnership was set up,that this was core to our beliefs, and core to our employee centric offering, truly putting our people at the centre of our agency'.
The firm has teams based in London,New York,Amsterdam and Cape Town, and is online at www.opinium.com .
